I build team capabilities and systems for research and evaluation

Your program is doing innovative product development or community-centered health promotion, for people that matter. But you're not quite sure what impact you're having, for who.

You want to generate actionable understanding of local issues and strengths, in partnership with the people and communities you serve, but you’re not sure where to begin.

You want to be sure you’re doing what you say you do and helping who you’re here to help.

And your funding could be at stake if you're not clear about it.

Some support on research and evaluation would make all the difference.

I enable people, teams and organizations to generate actionable insights to inform how they partner with people and communities in their product and health service work

Hi, my name is Karen and I enable people, teams and organisations to generate actionable insights, to inform how they partner with people and communities in their product and health service work.

Together we can co-create knowledge, systems and processes that make research and evaluation an integrated practice in your work.

You know best what you need, and I simply bring my knowledge and expertise to support that.

When you know your impact, and the community-defined agendas and assets, you multiply the power of what you do.

What People Are Saying

Karen approaches every situation with such energy, generosity and openness. She makes other people feel like the experts, building confidence of others and in doing so empowers everyone around her to help build a stronger workforce.

A lot of people have high-level skills in research and evaluation like Karen. But the thing that sets Karen apart is that she’s such a joy to work with and it doesn’t end up feeling like work. Working with Karen has been one of the most enjoyable and intellectually stimulating experiences of my career to date.

— Brydie Foran, Public Health Directorate, NT Health

Karen is both experienced and detailed in research and evaluation, for example, advising the team in ways to set up the project framework for data collection and checking participants’ data with the post survey. Karen is very approachable and has eye for details with good teaching skills and qualities to support her colleagues. She is very considerate and patient.

— Brenda Leung, Health Promotion Project Officer, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District

I experienced firsthand Karen’s fantastic skills in teaching and facilitation to assist our team to develop program logics and monitoring and evaluation frameworks for local health initiatives. Karen spent time equipping and mentoring myself and other staff to develop our skills, knowledge and confidence in evaluating our health promotion initiatives. Karen was exceptional at explaining evaluation processes in a clear and logical manner to help staff to be able to understand tasks and work independently of her to develop their skills in evaluation methods. Karen was always keen and willing to check in with people along the way to benefit their learning. In addition to Karen’s professionalism, she happens to have one of the most charming and infectious personalities.
