I believe that creativity is the ultimate facilitator and sign of health in a community.

I am a coach, artist and facilitator, and at the heart of all my work is creating healthier communities — for all.

As a holistic coach, I work to empower professionals who are changing the world for better, to do more of what they love, and less of what drains them.

My art explores what it is to be in relationship to each other, and to a place and space. Through poetry, mixed-media painting and research, I reflect and amplify what I see and believe is possible in our relationships.

After 20+ years of research and practice regarding health and community, my approach is premised on public health being a collective act that requires dialogue and social transformation.

 My journey as an artist

After 20+ years of practice and research regarding health and community, I see wellbeing, coaching and art as intertwining practices.

Co-creating — be it through coaching, research or art — requires submitting to an unknown path. I could not have conducted ethnographic and qualitative research without the kindness of research participants. I could not create the art I make without the creative force within me.

I have seen firsthand how art is a channel for human expression and relationship, that can shape collective thinking and inform dialogue and social transformation. Art is a powerful tool to lend a voice to and highlight the agency of those silenced by society and its institutions. In this way art can also be a means for health equity. For me, art is also about following joy and delight, which in a hyper-productive corporate culture can be a radical act that honors one’s voice within. Read more about me as an artist here.
