The Gold Coast’s older buildings that stand amongst the towering newcomers transmit a romantic mood. My choice of colours in this work reflect my emotional response as well as the time of day that I pass this building, as though the two are inseparable. Windjammer alludes to a small community that still enjoys a brush of years past on the Gold Coast.
